The final awarding of Chambishi to FM and the price obviously hinges on what happens with Luanshya - ie, will Binani be able to raise the $ required to close the deal.

NOTE the line: "All the above privatisation awards are still subject to contract." In other words, they still have to close!

Binani has also recently indicated that they will change the name of the Luanshya Division (perhaps a smokescreen - to create the impression that they can close the deal?).

While all sources indicate that FM will get both, they are not just waiting around - over the next while, continuing news on the acquisition front will not only diversify FM's asset base, but also position it for significant cashflow in '98.
