Yeah, torture makes me queasy too. Since we have torture, we have basically condemned our own soldiers to torture and death when they are captured. But wait a minute, the Muslim extremists we have been fighting have never thought twice about torturing, then beheading our soldiers or our civilians for that matter.

I'm conflicted. Because this war isn't a conventional war where nice rules apply so easily. We are fighting people completely devoid of any kind of morals. They routinely, every day, kill civilians. They kill every soldier they capture. They take civilians hostage, hide in mosques, and use civilians as human shields. If we have capture one of them and think they can lead us to the ringleaders, then sometimes geneva conventions don't quite fit the bill.

When you lie down with pigs, you can't expect to come up smelling like roses. If we want to get Osama, offering $25 million isn't going to cut it. It's going to come from making one of his people fear a painful life more than they fear death.
