42% favor impeaching Bush
if he lied about Iraq war, Zogby Poll

More than "two-in-five voters (42%) say they would favor impeachment proceedings if it is found the President misled the nation about his reasons for going to war with Iraq," according to the latest Zogby Poll.

The poll was taken between June 27 and June 29 and has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.3%. Following Bush’s nationally-televised speech this week his approval rating dropped again to 43%.

A large majority of Democrats (59%) say that Bush should be impeached if he lied about Iraq and one out of every four Republicans (25%) say that they would favor impeachment under those circumstances, according to the Poll. Forty three percent of independent voters favor impeachment if Bush lied about the Iraq war.

We know that Bush lied about Iraq war. We know that he should be impeached. It is because of the work of everyone, and the support of those who are promoting impeachment, that this movement can become an irresistible force in the months ahead. The ImpeachBush/VoteToImpeach.org campaign is taking the next steps in the coming months. We are launching a nationwide campaign so that every Congressional representative is flooded with calls for impeachment.
