Bob,
I noticed on the TA thread that you were asking about MetaStock. Are you currently using this? If so, are you feeding it with data from somewhere else, e.g. QP, TC2000, etc. I would ask this over on that thread but don't feel comfortable over there. Also, do you have a good understanding of the indicators, appropriate values to use, etc. and if so, would you mind if I ran some questions by you. I wish there was really a thread for beginners which I don't think that thread is. It may be that my approach to learning is different because I am first trying to get a clear understanding of how each of these indicators works in order to know how to use them, select appropriate values for each, etc. The more I read the more questions I come up with. It's much too early for me to be doing scans based on someone else's formulas when we may each be operating under different time frames, investment strategies, etc. Anyway, I am sure you are about ready to send me a bill for all this advice!!
