Right on, MM.
The French and with them the Chinese and the Russians with their micro management of world politics brought up the very situation which eventually lead to the Iraq war the way we know it now.
Saddam most likely had not played his hand if those Nations had been standing up firm and made UN look solid and by that making his hand look real weak.
