I think ShrubCo was simply amateurs who backed themselves up against the wall.

First, the chimp had a personal thing with Saddam because of his father losing to Clinton, in part for not finishing the job in Iraq in 1991.

Second, he thought it would be easy because of his arrogance related to mythical US power.

Third, he wanted to set up "friendly" oil supplies after miraculously liberating the Iraqis.

But, most importantly, the chimp simply backed himself into a corner with his brinksmanship in the summer of 2002. After all of his bluster and sending a damn armada to the Middle East, he had no choice but to attack.

I was watching Charlie Rose the other night on PBS when some really high class political analysts (Washington Post, Time Magazine, and the Council of Foreign Relations) generally seemed to agree that ShrubCo has simply created a terrorists' war and that it has to be seen through.

I don't understand why the American people don't hold the chimp accountable for his farcical actions. Now we have to put up with his attempts to jam a zealot right-winger onto the Supreme Court. He has no ability whatsoever to bring people together.
