Bush has yet another chance to put party and personal ambition ahead of country. He can choose to nominate for the SC another Sandra Day O'Connor, a potential swing vote or, he can be the poodle of the radical religious right and nominate Janice Rogers Brown or Priscilla Owen or someone quite like...

Since Bush always puts party and personal ambition ahead of the US of A, this should be an interesting war coming up soon. If Rehnquist quits soon, it will be nuclear war (in political terms).

People for the American Way (from Charlie Rose) says that giving the Scalia-Thomas radical extremist views another vote can overturn 100 precedents. They wish to revert back to pre 1937 days. Wow, they REALLY hate FDR. How do they manage to live in this country when they despise its modern foundation so much?

Curious.

Anyway, as if Bush hasn't divided the country enough, he could make the divide even deeper and possibly permanent.
