"Yeah, it's not the favorite subject for the Chamber of Commerce" One time when the schools were pushed onto Galveston Beach, The Galveston Daily Snooze printed an article which mentioned it and that people just might want to consider staying out of the water because of sharks. Man, you could hear anuerisms popping all over town. Now most of the tourists come from Houston on a day trip, so the odds of them actually picking up a paper for anything but replacing a foam cooler top that blew away is pretty close to zero. But many of the local merchants acted as if the paper was trying to run them out of business...
