Well, we'll have to see then. Oh and btw, I also believe that if Bush willfully lied or concocted a story, then he and his entire staff should be kicked out of the White House. But the sad truth is that just about everyone believed Saddam was hiding WMD. He was always playing cat and mouse with the UN and he always acted like he was trying to hide something. Add that to the fact that he once did possess WMD and he had proven willing to use it on his own people, and every reasonable man started to just connect the dots.

Now in retrospect, I think he was acting like he was hiding WMD in order to create some kind of bargaining leverage. Or perhaps it was because he gained stature by flouting the UN and thwarting the US. We can only guess at what he was thinking. Be that as it may, he had the whole world fooled, Bush along with the rest of us. I think Bush and team connected the dots and concluded we had to take him out. They also saw it as an opportunity to create a base of operations for gaining leverage over all the bad actors in the Middle East for their neocon vision of Democratic reform there.

That is what I think really happened. However, if they can prove he willfully lied to sway American public opinion, then I say put the man in jail.
