The 9-11 commission did uncover the fact that Bush-Rice were warned about Osama planning hijackings and did nothing. Beyond that, I don't think it's purpose was to indict the POTUS, it was to try and make sure this never happened again. The rightwing smears against Richard Clarke were atrocious. But those type of smears may never work again for them. After all, the chief smearer mastermind himself Rove is the one in the spotlight now.
