Damage to what? They're supposed to interpret the Constitution. The rightwing wants to control a woman's body, everyone's sexual life and generally bully others. This is NOT the American way, this is NOT freedom and liberty. Republicans on the top of the heap want to turn us into a third world country of aristocrats on the top and workers on the bottom. It's 1920! That's why they so despise FDR and so despise the government doing anything but codifing their power. At the extreme end of the Republican spectrum, that's pure and absolute evil.
