OK - I looked at that problem, but something is not clear. Can the host choose to open the door the contestant picked? Or not? At a glance that would seem to affect the probabilities. It's not stated.

On gambling there are two by two forms of gambling:

1. No skill gambling - where it is purely random numbers

2. Skilled gambling - where remembering cards, understanding which horse is good, or which stock to pick can give you an edge.

and then:

1. Negative expected value gambles

2. Positive expected value gambles.

Just talking about "gambling" mushes together all these options.
