Bush got exactly what he wanted: the power of government used for his purposes. Bush loves welfare as long as it's corporate welfare. Do you actually think Bush is some kind of libertarian? Bush views his good buddy Bandar Bush as a model. His family is the state and the state serves to enrich the family. In Bush's case the family includes his cronies and the ultrarich. This is why Bush calls them his 'base' and means it. Do you still not see what Bush is? He loves big government when it serves to enrich HIM. That's why he's running huge deficits and why he's happy to see noncompete, costplus contracts for his buddies. Bush is a big government junkie. He just doesn't want the power and wealth of government to be used for everyone outside of his base. Do you still not see what a morally (and fiscally and militarily) bankrupt administration this is?
