My friend that has 165 IQ and used to program mainframes on wallstreet said there is more to life than investing and money - he doesn't have a lot of the stuff - he does much current work in numbers - sophisticated encryption stuff using primes and such - astronomy and physics journals are what he mostly reads - not the finance journals. In fact you make a good point, most of the people in his mensa club aren't super rich or famous. One of the greatest minds in America works as a bouncer. His friends are doing academic research work that probably won't have practical application to the masses til many decades from now. Some company will take thier theories that they died broke producing and make some big bucks applying it to the world.
