Bushies have lied to and intimidated the press for a long time. The press have been storing up all kinds of damaging stories on Bushies. Even the conservative press have been holding their noses and their fire. Once the corruption stories start really breaking they won't stop. There are so many of them. The Bush-Cheney wall already has holes in it but it eventually collapse under the pressure.

Know what really turned the tide though? Terri Schiavo. That one really unmasked the Bushies and removed their cloak of moral authority, permanently maybe. What they did there was really obscene and out of bounds. Every family in America felt that to some degree.
