If state and local governments either prevent or make more difficult future decisions to seize or condemn or otherwise damage private property, we could end up with MORE protection rather than less.

As everything I've read so far indicates that States are celebrating the decision I don't think their inclined to put more restrictions in.

DeLay is futzing around with some legislation to deny Federal funding, but that's just a back handed way of interfering with State's rights. Flip a coin as to whether that's constitutional. But I expect the initiative will effectively result in no one following up in the States.

This is mostly a downtown/inner city issue. Not a big constituency.
