I hate to tell you that as long as Intel has gone along "unchallenged" with these marketing practices they could easily pushed the envelope to the point of hanging themselves. The key is Intel's manufacturing prowess. Simply said, if large OEMs wanted all the chips they needed they had to go through Intel because AMD didn't have the capacity. With that hanging over their head they had to succumb to Intels bully tactics. Like it or not.
