PARALLEL UNIVERSE

Tim Blair

The Sydney Morning Herald reports:
American movie star Robert Redford, who played reporter Bob Woodward
in a film about the Watergate scandal, said he regretted that US
journalists were not investigating the administration of US President
George Bush.
"There are deep similarities going on but where is the press? Where
is the press?” Redford pointedly asked at the sidelines of a film
festival in the Czech spa town of Karlovy Vary on Saturday.

“What the hell are you doing in a Czech spa town?” responded Jason Robards, who played Washington Post editor Ben Bradlee. “You’re meant to be filing on the new DC transit lane regulations, damn it! I’d better call Dustin Hoffman, who played Carl Bernstein.” Carol Trost, who played Bradlee’s secretary, then brought him some make-believe coffee in a little pretend cup.
