he expected them to cut the fat, extra administrators, maybe unnecessary renovations, duplicated services........ Of course the Hospital management knew that the only place to cut is in the people who clean and do the work, Yes here i completely concur... This has been my mantra for a long time and have posted as much before. Mikey buckled in front of the Roman Catholics as well so that care of Gay Aids Patients and Birth Control were put into the hands of the Catholic Church.. Peter in fairness you make this sound like an Ontario hospital wide issue... Mount Sinai ? Sick Kids... I wonder how good health care was in 1892 when the Church found the need to start St-Mike's ? How the state cared for the common folk ? Again I'm reminded of the verse from Shakespeare's Julius Caesar... I imagine you know the one... :o) Unfortunately Peter this is just like education... My daughter's public school where she attends French Immersion is also the middle school serving a bunch of elementary schools in an area of high low rent and subsidized housing (you know the Liberal put all the poor people together in someone else's backyard method). Anyway the school she would have gone to in lieu had she not continued in French immersion is (her words not mine) a rich school. Those kids get to go on all kinds of neat trips.. (skiing etc..) I wonder who pays for all those extras and I wonder if those same folks get to have any effect on policy ? Life is not a cabaret old chum... regards K
