No, I'm not when it comes to comparing Opteron technolgy and products to its competitors, and based upon what I've witnessed since Opteron's introduction, the reason for optimism is stronger now than ever before.

In that sense, no I have never bought the endless promises of "some-time-in-the-future-if-ever" world beater product by INTC that have repeatedly been brought to this board by some since Opteron's introduction. And Opteron's evolution, if anything, has surpassed my optimistic outlook resulting in an ever widening performance advantage over the competition. It is rational, imo, to be exceedingly optimistic about the implications of the Opteron family of products on AMD's financials going forward.

The day someone can convincingly argue that Opteron's competitiveness is diminishing vis a vis the competition, I'll change my tune. I doubt that will be for some time yet.

As for phuddy, again, his posts are absurb from my vantage point, for reasons already stated. Phuddy will say whatever phuddy has to say to draw a crowd. He seems to revel in pulling everyone's strings. So be it. Just not my cup of tea.
