Your right Goldie. The military expects it's heros to NEVER admit mistakes or doubt the mission, no matter how lunatic, misguided or just flat wrong. "Mine is not to reason why, mine is but to do or die." This thinking brought us Vietnam, and now Iraq. With all the concern on the right for what the Founders intended, it's convieniently forgotten that the Founders NEVER intended us to have a standing army. They knew that a standing army was a temptation to empire-build for the venal politician. And as for the army itself, it's what they DO - how could they possibly be against it? fff.org
