I think we should consider what they say and not automatically reject such a regional alliance against terrorists. Add India, Pakistan, other stans and Afganistan to that mix of states directly affected by islamic terrorism and they should be able to control the threat with our help. You say "Gonna be there a loooong time" and i suggest that may not be in our national interest. We need allies in the WOT and some of them will have warts. Maybe its better to eliminate islamic fascism by any means necessary than to quack about islamic democracy just yet. This also frees us up to take on the next hot spot in the WOT which will probably be iran. Mike
