energyplay Re: "New Orleans drive thru margarita take out" LMAO. I lived and worked in New Orleans years ago and it is a really crazy place. Locals called it the "Big E" (for easy) and said if you can't make it in New Orleans you can't make it anywhere. The reverse of New York. The pumps there will remove an inch of rain water per hour and anywhere inside the crescent the streets fill up pretty quick. If a big storm hits Pontchartrain just right the surge will fill the Quarter and the Garden district from the back side mabe pretty quickly. But if you could make it as far as Airline Highway there is some higher ground there fairly close to downtown. The problem is that lots of people would just stay there and drown, lots of intown people there have never been outside of the city and have no desire what so ever to leave. Some gals who had an apartment where I lived said they had tried to "escape" the big E several times but never got any further than the Slidell bridge. Slagle
