In most areas of life, one can get on just fine while being ignorant of significant branches of knowledge. Unfortunately, in the area of environmental issues and laws, being clueless about ecology is, IMO, a long term prescription for disaster. That is the biggest conservative failing, and it bugs the hell out of me when I see bright, eager, motivated young people go to the likes of Patrick Henry University, and get literally duped to their own detriment and the nations as well.
Whats worse, is that hardly a single conservative has the guts to stand up and call these clowns on it. IMO, there is nothing more odious than taking a trusting mind, and teaching it something false. Why can't they grow up and live in the world that is, rather than in fantasy land? |
