I don't understand the point of how many shares mattering.
If JDSU did a 1 for 20 reverse split and had ~75 million
shares rather than 1.5 billion they'd still have the same
quarterly revenue number, so would they then not need
to be "reinvented". ;-)

You know the answer to that.
By the time revenues double the stock will have tripled.
