The DLC Democrats are in full retreat from the left wing of the party. Not a good comparison. Thats precisely the point. I'm not an old liberal. I'm a neoliberal. I freely admit that there is a radical old left wing commie loving element on the liberal side. If you think that is majority liberal anymore you are confused. Similarly the Reps now have a we love deficits approach. That too is somewhat new. Bush loves socialized medical drug programs as near as I can tell. So do lots of dems. Both lib & conservative have evolved quite a bit in the last couple of decades. What I'm still searching for is any sizeable area of modern knowledge where the majority of the liberal left is as nuts as the majority of the conservative right is on biological science (and the related fields dependent on such knowledge as I pointed out before). If you can help, I'd very much appreciate it, and that is not a snide comment BTW. I like to understand things.
