Sioux,

I glean a ton of information from this website.

lifeaftertheoilcrash.net

It is where I started the journey and from there went to UN briefings and company internal sites. It has taken about 18 months for me to weave the facts together. I am thoroughly convinced we are in for one hell of a ride after taking the time to research.

I just do not think many people have taken the time to read the facts. If peak oil is a fact it will alter the way every human on this planet lives. And I have found not one thing to refute about our coming crisis. Kunstler gives it a soft treatment compared to what I believe will ultimately happen.

And I never, ever, believed in Y2K.

Add in global effect of carbon based fuel systems. Throw in a slowing of a global current or two.

Yeah, I am one of those that thinks peak oil is a superstorm waiting to happen. and that Iraq is just part of the overall picture that we are not shown. I think our government thinks of us as cattle to herd around. And oil the way to make them richer and steal more of our hard earned assets from us.

Too damn bad. We are an industrious lot and with some warning could actually probably head off disaster.

Or at least die trying
