TSM Taiwan Semi: Signals point to full-utilization rates at TSMC for 4Q -- DigiTimes (8.97 )

A month after Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) raised its second quarter guidance, signals are coming from the foundry that it will increase its utilization rates to full capacity by the fourth quarter of this year, according to industry sources. The sources stated that TSMC expects full bookings for 0.13-micron and below processes for the second half of 2005, and the foundry may not be able to completely meet demand.
