Your big point about evolution denial by many Christians proving they are anti-scientific is nonsense.

BS.

Fundamentalists think the world is <10K years old and that common decent is not true because the Bible (according to there reading tells them so), this despite overwhelming scientific evidence to the contrary.

Now what are some of the other things that the Bible tells fundamentalists?

1) The earth was created for man, who has dominion over it and all it's contents.

2) The earth is doomed in the near future, since Jesus is going to come and save the righteous and destroy all the wicked (details vary by denomination)

3) There will be a great big war in the middle east between the good guys and the bad guys (details vary by denomination)

4) Human beings have something called a soul.

5) God is profoundly interested in your sex life.

6) God has provided detailed instructions on how to live one's life, and all people should follow those.

Perhaps you might make a list of how 1-6 affect the voting behavior of conservatives. It affects everything from environmental views to foreign policy, with evolution & sex ed somewhere in the middle of it all. If you think otherwise, get to know so fundamentalists a bit better.
