neolib,

The data I provided astonishingly enough showed liberals MORE in favor of free trade than conservatives. LOL!

Laugh indeed, this shows the divergence of voters and their representatives. Lately, Democrats in congress are supporting protectionism and Republicans are promoting free trade.

Kind of find the same trend elsewhere - evil Walmart hated by Dems because it supposedly displaces union members. Same Dems have no issue buying foreign non-union cars. Toyota and Mercedes workers in the US make as much as $10 per hour less in wages and benefits than GM or Ford workers, but thats ok.

As far as the divergence of conservative and liberal thought on economics - its clearly there on the issue of taxes and government involvement in commerce.

Make retailers identify GM foods with a prominent label like the Organic sticker.

Well you seem to be very moderate on this, but many on the left refer to these foods as 'Frankenfoods'. With such invectives around - how well do you expect sales to be? Hard to have a market based or scientific review when one side is actively campaining against the existence of the other.

Hardly a campaign of environmental conservationism. Basically all the political sites attack any research in this area. Hence my comparison to the anti-evolution crowd.

And while we are on the subject - how can the same people promote bio-engineering of people, but be against it in plants?

John
