I thought general Groves kept this secret and manipulated the market - no one was supposed to know about this to keep it from the "enemy" just like they had reporters stand in the crater where a nuke went off to prove the japanese claims were bogus about radiation effects - of course those reporters were damaged by radiation levels and later died from it.

How could traders have made money off the silver market if prices were never allowed to move much - do you have any more history on the subject?
