ironguy, "I know of no other stock that has the explosive potential as this company."

I'm in the same camp on that count.

"...but it won't happen next week." ...

You may not have considered that some of the prospects, including the recent copper-gold acquisition in Argentina, are highly marketable. I suspect Cardero could announce a deal at any time on almost any one of these that could provide not only a boost to the PPS, but funds to advance work on the many other properties.

In regards to the new mineral sands project, I think this is on a short fuse that would make the sequence of events leading to production on any other discovery look like the passage of geological time. In other words, the real surprise for the market is going to be in just how quickly this asset shows it's rewards.

Then, too, San Fernando, the first of the Mexican IOCG prospects, only needs drilling and drill results to MAYBE set the whole market segment on fire. It's that significant. We could see results in weeks to months from now, not two years. Then, with a tad bit of luck, your ten bucks will be left far, far behind.

On San Fernando alone, the nearest comparison I can think of is like getting into Diamond Fields Resources before drilling began at Voisey's Bay, and holding through to the Inco takeover.

Having said that, the mineral sands in Peru may be of somewhat similar value to San Fernando, or more. Whether on that scale, or not, the value can be realized far sooner, and with dramatically less risk, because, you see, I think there little doubt on the viability of the project. The larger question at this point is in how many years of production can be had out of it.

So, I agree, perhaps no other company today has the "explosive potential" of Cardero, but I think it will come sooner than you expect and with greater rewards.

...just opinions from someone holding large (for me) positions. Do your own DD.
