Al, Which "simple qualities" allow a man of presumed faith to start a war of choice and speculation?

In the war on terrorism, people want a man of action, not a man of waffling. It doesn't take a genius to figure this out, and yet, the man of presumed intellectualism couldn't get it.

And which qualities allow other people of faith to admire such behaviour against the clear unambiguous teachings of their God?

If I see someone beating up my wife, I'm not going to stand by and tell her to turn the other cheek.

If I see a hoodlum assaulting a friend for his money, I'm not going to stand by and tell my friend to give the hoodlum his jacket as well.

And if there is a gathering of said assaulters and hoodlums, I'm not going to wait until they hurt another victim before breaking up the crowd.

Now it's my turn. What qualities of "intellectualism" allow people like yourself to support the actions of these cockroaches (tm Stevie)? What qualities of "open-mindedness" allow people like yourself to belittle viewpoints that don't fit your world view? And what qualities of "nuance" allow people like yourself to draw the line anywhere you want and come up with your own version of "black-n-white"?
