Let's hope there are good non-neocon candidates on the Republican side and good, potential winners on the Democrat side.

That's unlikely to happen. The neocons have effectively cornered the power in this country. The checks and balance system is out of whack. Congress barely checks the executive branch now as it is. With O'Connor resigning, they are going afte the Supreme Court. Why do you think so many groups are freaking out over this appointment?

And now we have a terrorist attack in London which could serve as the neocon catalyst for an attack on Iran.
