No place is safe ... The chimp has simply upped the ante ..... .......... By overreacting to the attacks of 9/11/01 we have engaged a rather invisible enemy. Terrorism will no more be stamped out than disease and car accidents will be eliminated. The newly stated policy of "distraction," one in which we will fight this invisible enemy in Iraq rather than here is a joke. That implies a finite enemy that can be cornered. Apparently a few of them found their way to England on Thursday. Can you imagine living in Iraq where events such as the one that occurred in London yesterday occur virtually every day? Isn't it commonplace to hear that a car bomb killed 50 in Bagdhad? Israel have lived under a cloud of terror for years. Even they don't make terrorism the focal point of public policy as does the US. Am I wrong? One thing, though, is that Israel has compulsory military service. Oh ... hum ... do I hear the call for a draft in the US? /john
