I am not trying to be fair to rummy. I think he is a great man. In poiltics sometimes its better to replace folks. Next guy wont have it any easier but rummy has become a flash point and his best days at dod are behind him. You must win guerilla wars by winning hearts and minds, not only of the country you are fighting but at home. The thrust of this thread is F the dems and the 51-49 split in favor of this admin is good enough. To keep the home front strong those numbers must go up. So sometimes you kill the messenger. There are some interesting names who one might want to consider at DOD that could add to support at home. All i am saying is that rummy is not the only guy who can do the job. Mike
