Yes, I use Metastock. It is a fairly decent program and probably the best for the money. There are some user interface idiosyncracies that I do not like. Perhaps the new version wil remedy some of this. Also I wish Metastock had regression channels as a function that I can use in my scans, for I am working on breakout scans right now. Experience is the only way to dervie a "clearer picture" with TA. Preliminary study of TA helps alot, but it comes down to learning by doing TA. Paper trading with TA can help here. Still, there is nothing like having "real" money on the line. I will try to anwer your questions on indicators and scans. Bob Graham
