The free worlds "moral standards, practices, and principles" are solid long term strategic advantages for society Earth. 'Their' "moral standards, practices, and principles" are short term tactical advantages and if not addressed, will not allow the free worlds strategic advantages to be achieved. I am a believer that people who make an explicit decision to move to the dark side do not deserve the same safeguards as the innocent and some mechanism needs to be in place to fight them.
