There is a big difference between some individuals or organizations blaming governments directly for planting the bombs and the vast majority of people waiting to hear what actually happened. You're getting all worked up over an opinion.

IMO, it would be damaging enough if AQ, especially Zarqawi, is found to have planted the bombs. That would mean that Iraq is spilling out directly into the UK. What does that mean to the Bush/Blair administration's competence? What does that mean to the current but ever changing justification for the war there?

I care if Rove is guilty or not and you should as well. Regardless of which party he operates for, deliberately exposing a CIA operative for any reason deserves a lifetime prison sentence. Just because he's a Republican doesn't mean Republicans should give him a pass on breaking the law. This is an issue of national security and law and order. It's the Federal Prosecutor who's after the leaker and for good reason. We do not know what he knows and the judges have seen on this case. Apparently, they all agree that it is very serious.

The corporate press relies on the 'leaders of the world' for access. They are most often toadies to power. They aren't reporting from abroad because most of them get AP feeds. When they became for-profit divisions, they packed up their foreign news bureaus. That's also why they blamed AP for not picking up on the DSMs. The AP didn't pick it up properly so their customers didn't get it either.

Iraq is so dangerous that reporters can't get out and report. We have no real idea what is going on in that country simply because it's so dangerous. Would you be willing to go roam around Baghdad chatting people up when the Egyptian Ambassador can't even be protected?
