"While researchers may debate details of how the mechanism of evolution plays out, there is no credible scientific challenge to the underlying theory."

One can only hope the catholic church is making itself increasingly irrelevant spending time on stuff like this. Neolib was harping on this subject recently, but quite honestly I didn't take him seriously, having never run into somebody who didn't accept evolution. Of course, it doesn't really come up that often in conversation, so I guess I was only assuming.

My grandson is a big dinosaur fan, so I've got a lot of dinosaur facts rattling around from reading him books. Dinosaurs were around about 300 million years. A long time. Very successful. Sharks are still around from back then. A direct approach to life.

Humans? Wouldn't be at all surprised if they ended up being one of Ma Natures' failed experiments. A biological dead end.

The Catholic church is starting to make Islam look not quite so crazy.
