i believe that if you went fishing with me and experienced the way i fish you would maybe forgive me. i rarely touch the fish and when i do i am gentle. i use a barbless hook. i am convinced they live and do not suffer a slow death from my actions. if i thought they did i would not do it. i know its a conscious creature. there is probably nothing i can say that would make you understand without you experiencing it. but i am not trying to get you to go pierce a fishes bony jaw. just understand my point of view.
