If you study biology in a Catholic school, you will be taught evolution.

Maybe the Cardinal wants to bring in Intelligent Design, but I don't think the Catholic version of creation is compatible with Protestant Intelligent Design.

I read a good description of the Catholic view of evolution -- God put enough English on the cosmic cue ball that he didn't need to come back and tweak things.

God is always present, and could tweak things if He wanted to. He just doesn't need to, He did it right the first time.

Protestant Intelligent Design is about tweaking.
