"If you study biology in a Catholic school, you will be taught evolution." Okay, now we're in line with my experience. I was born Catholic, went to Catholic school thru 5th grade, and got a degree in biology. I never ran into even a wiff of controversy over evolution. That's why I was dismissive of neolibs' rant on the subject. That's also why I was surprised by Bills' post. It sure sounded like the Catholic hierarchy was taking a step back about 500 years. ARS
