Hypothetically, consider if your child was kidnapped and trapped in a hole somewhere with only 12 hours of air. If you caught the admitted kidnapper, would you do everything you could, including torturing him if need be, to find the whereabouts of your child before the 12 hours ran out?

Given that it's just a hypothetical, they will say no.

If it really happened, they would say absolutely.
