I saw a tinybit of the concert and tuned in for the sgt peppers band set. U2 & mccartney didn't really work for me so I ended up tuning elsewhere (Even though I like most of U2's songs and have many of their CDs)

on a side note:

One of the people of Pink Floyd said he was going to donate the money he received from the concert for playing there to some charity (no idea how much or to which charity).

But then I got to thinking. If all the bands got paid to be there, how come they aren't handing out there share to end world poverty? Or why were they even paid in the first place? shouldn't have this been a We'll do it for free since its a good cause type of event?
