I had the pleasure of seeing Mr Hornberger speak publicly and recommend catching anytime he's in your neighborhood. I agree with him with the exception that I think the terrorist attacks would still be happening even if bush had not been part of a criminal conspiracy to fabricate charges to invade Iraq. With 725 bases in 159 countries that we know of and additional secret bases such as the 6 bases in Israel there's is much to resent about US imperialism. I wholeheartedly agree with to close all of those bases and bring our troops home, stop enriching the mercenary military-industrial complex, and discharge the troops to do productive work.
