"While you are looking up verses, share with me, too."

Thanks for reminding me of your request. I will do one today, then I am going for a picnic.

"Was he good when he mocked the Gentiles's kid?"

In Matthew, Jesus tells the Gentile that He will not heal her daughter because she is a Gentile and He is only sent for The Children of Israel.

He then likens her and her child to "dogs".

After she accepts that ugly racial comment with a witty response, He relents and decides to make an exception for these two particular "dogs". Some people are "children" and some are "dogs". It is surely an example of discrimination and rude, mocking language.

If a person today were to call a Jewish person a dog it would not be considered either mature or Christian--at least not by many of the Christian sects. I don't think it was a very nice thing to say, but then I don't believe He said it.

15:22 And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.

15:23 But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.

15:24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

15:25 Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.

15:26 But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs.

15:27 And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.
