Here's a real story from a nurse friend of ours. Nice system, huh? Make you feel good about being an American? Justify it nicely to your group of selfish people, can't you???

didn't mention the uninsured people in her office, but I know how hard managing health and dental care for the uninsured is. When I worked in a doctor's office back in '87 or '88, I remember one patient who is a classic example of the working uninsured. She was a middle-aged black woman with uncontrolled diabetes that was slowly causing kidney failure. She worked, but had no insurance and did not qualify for Medicaid. She was really sick by the time she made an appointment and much of the damage had already been done. Very sad.
