DD: Not having to endure the combined inanity of CNBC-TV and
the eccentric Mr. Bow Tie, you are doubly blessed. More than this,
listening to Bow Tie and thereupon acting upon his instructions can
be harmful to one's pocketbook.

On the other hand, for those who suffered mightily in the past from
Mr. Bow Tie's disastrous, if not fatal, recommendation to short Intel
all hallow, CNBC-TV's oddball-in-residence has offered his suffering
sycophants a chance to recoup lost fortunes. Confer:

Subject: CNBC -- critique.

For those who have doubts that Mr. Bow Tie has not taken leave
of his senses, it would be worth your while to pick up the most
recent "Barron's" magazine (27 Jan 1997). Consider the table
on page 31 entitled "Rogers' Picks".... Potatoes Nov. '97.
Black and white pepper from Kuala Lumpur. Sri Lankan tea.
The Uruguayan stock market. Eastern Highlands listed in
Zimbabwe. And let's not give short shrift to a seat on the
Sydney Futures Exchange to round out some of his bullish
picks. Perhaps, it is time Mr. Bow Tie plans another motor-
cycle trip. May I suggest an itinerary that includes a grand
tour of the asylums of Europe.

Disclaimer: Do not blame your broker if he hangs up on
you after you place your orders a la Bow Tie.
