It was Intel's actions in Japan that forced the OEMs to be dragged before the JFTC, not AMD.

AMD is asking for $50M from Intel, not from the Japanese OEMs. It is up to INtel to decide if they want the OEMs to be dragged to court. They can just settle out of court and give AMD the $50M.
